This giveaway is closed. Congratulations to Steve G., Roxanna, & Sky! I’ll be contacting you via e-mail and you’ll have four days to respond. If I don’t hear from you, then I’ll have to choose a new winner. Thank you to everyone who participated and thank you to Little Debbie for providing the prizes!
Those of you who watch your feedreaders faithfully, waiting for the thrill of the Don’t Try This at Home update . . . today I reward you! Your waiting has not been in vain, my friends. I come bearing a giveaway.
I have loved Little Debbie snacks since I was a little girl. My favorites back then were the Nutty Bars, Star Crunch, and the Swiss Cake Rolls (which I still crave). A few months ago Little Debbie approached me with the opportunity to try their new 100-calorie snacks and I fell in love again. Hello? You mean you just give me a smaller portion but keep the flavor? I’ll take a full flavor, smaller-sized snack over a cardboard snack any day! Then, a few weeks ago, I received another box from Little Debbie, this time filled with five boxes of individually-wrapped muffins. Oh sweet snacks of love! I’m here to tell you I love me some muffins. And Chili, Jr.? Unabashedly devoted to muffins. And Max? He’s macho about it, but yessirree, he loves the muffins too.
So we’ve tried them all: blueberry, cranberry & orange, chocolate chip, double chocolate, and lemon. My favorite is the cranberry & orange; it’s great for a quick breakfast with some hot (who am I kidding?) ICED tea. They are also just the right size for a snack. Which is one of the things I like about the 100-calorie snacks and these muffins–they aren’t a meal. So many snacks today are as big as a meal or hold as many calories as two meals. These are actual snacks that take the edge off your hunger until you can eat a healthy meal. The only complaint I have? I wish Little Debbie would use real sugar instead of High Fructose Corn Syrup. But that’s hardly a Little Debbie issue, I wish everyone would stop using HFCS. It would just be completely awesome if Little Debbie led the way.
So! We love the muffins! We love Little Debbie! And we want to share the love with you! Three winners will receive their very own boxes of Little Debbie muffins to try. Your package will include all five flavors we tried: blueberry, cranberry & orange, chocolate chip, double chocolate, and lemon. Are you interested in winning? Leave me a comment telling me what your favorite Little Debbie snack is or your favorite Little Debbie snack memory. You won’t win if you don’t follow that rule. Comments like “I wanna win” or “Pick me” won’t be chosen.
Also, don’t enter more than once because duplicate entries will mean that you don’t get any entries. Just so you know and all. And no anonymous comments because, hello? How can I contact you if you’re anonymous? Just sayin’.
Finally, the rest of the rules:
- This giveaway is open to US residents only.
- You don’t have to be a blogger to play along, but you do have to have an e-mail address.
- I’ll pick a winner on Friday, June 12 and contact you that same day via e-mail. You have four days to respond. If I don’t hear from you by then, I’ll have to choose a new winner. Make sure you’re checking your spam folder!
I’ve told you my favorite snacks, but my favorite memory is running in from playing outside and knowing that my mom would always have Little Debbies waiting for us in the pantry. Seriously. There was never a time when I didn’t have access to a Nutty Bar, a Swiss Cake Roll, or a Star Crunch depending on what my fancy was. That’s a pretty good memory to have, don’t you think? Now let’s hear yours.

I adore the nutty bars! Especially the new singles.
Crunchy and chocolaty first. Creamy and peanut buttery next. What could be better than that Nutty Bar combo? I used to like to pull apart the different layers so to savor every bite. I could only get these when I rode my bike to the drug store with my bff Janet as sugary temptations were NOT permitted in our home growing up. Hmm, that sounds good about now with a large glass of cold milk!
My favorite Little Debbie snacks are the Oatmeal Creme Pies. YUM!!
My favorite memory is NOT actually directly related to Little Debbie snacks, but they ALWAYS remind me of my little sister, Debbie–Little Debbie, see? And when I see the snacks and think of her, I always smile.
Nutty bars, hands down. I just ate two of them today. Two, as in, two packages. Not two BOXES, cause that’d just be crazy. But I could do it.
OOOOh I love me some Little Debbie too. My mom started my addiction by packing the Sweet Cake Rolls & Squares in my lunch as a kid. My fave though are the chocolate covered yellow cakes with chocolate icing inside…they come in different shapes/decked out for various holidays etc so they have different names. MMMMMM!
My dad always had Zebra cakes and now brings them when they come to us and the grandkids. My personal favorite is the oatmeal cream pie. Yumm!!!!
Ever eat an entire box of Oatmeal Creme Pies at one sitting? I have. I ate an entire box when I was about 12 years old — lets just say I wasn’t feeling so well after I ate them and my mom let me stay home from school due to my Oatmeal Pie induced belly ache. Can you imagine as a mother writing a letter to the school, My daughter Shannon is absent today because she is a little piglet and devoured a whole box of Oatmeal Creme Pies for breakfast.
Hey it was the best belly ache ever!
I would have to say my favorite Little Debbie snack would have to be the Nutty Bars.
But back in the day as a little girl my grandma who baked from scratch almost every day loved to put a Little Debbie brownie in my “treat bag” before my little girlfriend and I headed to the show. We each took with us a brown lunch bag filled with popcorn and a brownie at the bottom, complements of grandma and of course Little Debbie.
oups, my favorite memory really shows my age, doesn’t it?
Oh yeah…Swiss Cake Roll was always my favorite after school snack! My Mom always worked but we knew there were always Little Debbies in the house when we came home…those and a glass of milk helped the homework go easier! Now I’d love to try the muffins for breakfast…with iced tea! I no longer drink coffee and iced tea is what I drink al day long! Thanks!
My mom ALWAYS bought Little Debbie Swiss Cake rolls when we were kids. We’d unroll them and eat ‘em up! My brothers were particularly fond of them. Still are! That’s the one thing they always buy at the grocery store!

Hands down, Swiss Cake Rolls and Nutty Bars are my favorite. Once you start it’s hard to stop especially with a tall glass of cold milk. Dang it, this comment is making me hungry!
Who doesn’t love Little Debbie? I’ve had a crush on her for most of my life. At first it was simple– the oatmeal creme pies. Those were a must for any elementary school lunch box dessert. But, then I discovered the joys of the Nutty Bars. Peanut butter and chocolate-covered wafers? That’s the recipe for heaven right there. Occasionally, I may try something fancier– a Zebra cake is usually good for my cravings for a yellow cake and if I want to win my wife’s heart I bring home Swiss Rolls.
I love the Nutty Bars and I really like the new 100 calorie triple fudge brownies. They’re just big enough…
My father would sometimes bring a box of Nutty Bars home with him for a special treat so I definitely associate them with him! He still loves them!
We LOVE Little Debbie snack cakes!! My husband carries the fudge rounds and nutty bars in his lunch everyday!!!
I love love nutty bars and zebra cakes!!Isince I was little I would eat the nutty bars by taking each layer apart and eating all the peanut butter then the wafer! I still do it to this day everytime I eat one!
I have to say that it is an absolute tie between Nutty Bars & Oatmeal Creme Pies. Mmm! Classic guilty pleasure staples.
Thanks, doll!
XOXO Jessie Lynn
Brownies with those little candies on top (no nuts)! LOVE THEM!!! MMmmmm…
My Dad and I love these. He is dying from cancer and takes medicine to eat. Eats his little debbie everyday-never, ever misses. Loves the muffins and the doughnut sticks. Ususally a miuffin in the morning and and a doughnut stick before bed. Have helped put some weigh back on him. Thanks
Fudge Rounds.
Swiss rolls BY FAR are the best. I used to peel the chocolate coating off and eat it first before devouring the rest
:):)
I like to unroll the swiss cake rolls….FUN and delicious, too!

There are three women who are not allowed in my house, Sara Lee, Mrs. Smith and unfortunately Little Debbie is on that list too. The last time I bought a box of Swiss Cake Rolls they didn’t make it home. I ate the whole stinking box. *sigh*
