Congratulations to Mel, A Dramatic Mommy; Michelle at Scribbit; and PastormacsAnn!

I have a treat for you today! Literally! How would you like to win your very own big box filled with several smaller boxes of Little Debbie 100 calorie snack cakes? I'm here to say, YUM! Yes, I've tasted them. Yes, they're good.

Here's the deal: These aren't stale knock-off Little Debbie cakes. These are the full-flavor snacks, but they are much smaller (hence the 100 calories). Now, at first you may think they are too small to satisfy. I hear you. I had the same thought. However, think about it this way: portion sizes are out of control. Do you really need that whole thing to be satisfied? Probably not. You most likely just need a taste to get past the craving. These snack cakes provide that. So, if one of your resolutions is to watch your portions this year, Little Debbie has you covered.

I have three of these prizes to give away! Are you interested in winning? Leave me a comment telling me what your New Year's Resolution is. Is it portion control? No carbs? More exercise? Nothing at all?
Tell me. That's it. Easy peasy. You won't win if you don't follow that
rule. Comments like "I wanna win" or "Pick me" won't be chosen.

Also, don't enter more than once because duplicate entries will mean that you don't get any
entries. Just so you know and all. And no anonymous comments because,
hello? How can I contact you if you're anonymous? Just sayin'.

Finally, the rest of the rules:

  • This giveaway is open to US residents only.
  • You don't have to be a blogger to play along, but you do have to have an e-mail address.
  • I'll pick a winner on Friday, January 16 or so and contact you that same day via
e-mail. I'll send you the e-mail address of my LD contact. You have four days to respond to the LD contact and give him your name and mailing address. If he doesn't hear from you within the four-day deadline, I'll have to choose a new winner. Make sure you're checking your
    spam folder!

I’m starting off with fewer carbs to kick start things but more exercise is the biggest part of my plans.

2 Karin A January 12, 2009 at 12:39 am

I am trying to exercise more—First I have to dust off the exercise bike though!

3 angel January 12, 2009 at 1:04 am

to spend less time online!

Oh…okay. Smaller portion sizes sound great; low calorie crap doesn’t.
My resolution this year is to (I’m being serious) set a long term goal. I’m quite diligent about keeping my short term goals but the thing is, I don’t have a long term goal. That’s like taking a series of short trips with no destination.

My resolution is to loose 150 pounds by my 30th birthday in July 2010. It’s a big goal, but one I’m determined to stick to.

I’ve been cutting back on potatoes, bread, and sweets. I need to start excersing at least 20 minutes a day. I just have to push myself to make it through the day—little on work out.

My New Year’s Resolution (or as I call it my To Do List) is to get organized. I had a baby last year and I now know the importance of being completely organized.

My New Year’s resolution is to focus on thinking positive, happy thoughts and each day to remember and be grateful for at least one blessing I have. The world has been going through so many traumatic and sad events that we often become depressed without realizing why. I think everyone would benefit if each day every one of us tries to focus on even the smallest positive, happy thought or event.

My resolution is to get healthier. I’m going to buy more local foods, reduce/eliminate any processed or packaged foods, and get my body moving.

When I hear Little Debbie……I think I hear angels wings!
Sounds heavenly, yummy!
This year….I have resolved along with my family to study God’s word more and to pray together. We also made some major money/budget resolutions.
We are trying to please God with our lives in everyway.

I’d like to eat healthier – i.e. eat fewer sweets and less junk. At my job there is always something unhealthy around and I don’t seem to be able to hold back. Which might explain why I’ve gained a few pounds since starting there…. I also want to be more content with my life as it is now – not wishing and hoping it were different, but knowing that God has me where he wants me now. Even though sometimes it’s harder to remember.

My new years resolution is to get to a healthier weight. My hubby and I have a deal going where we each have to exercise at least 3 times a week and if one of us doesn’t do it then that person owes the other a full child free hour to be redeemed at any time. We play hard ball around here! ;o) I’m also trying to feed my family healthier meals and to watch portion control. Baby steps…

My main 2009 goal (resolution) is to become more financially fit. Physically fit is always a goal, but we really need to work on the financial end of things.

14 Carolyn G January 12, 2009 at 12:10 pm

My is always the same: lose weight. I would love to lose 40 pounds this year. I am going to do this by trying to eat healthier, exercise more and be more aware of the junk I eat.

15 dysdhousewife January 12, 2009 at 12:24 pm

Sorry. TOTALLY low carb here for at least the next 5 months. Little Debbie is my arch enemy!

16 Kristi January 12, 2009 at 1:52 pm

Hello,
My New Year’s Resolution didn’t have anything to do with weight – not that I don’t have issues there.. but, Resolutions regarding weight have never worked in the past so thought I would take another route. I wanted to spend more time playing with my son (age 4), more time reading with my daughter (age 14) and more time cuddling with my hubby (age ??). Please enter me in your drawing!

I’ve resolved to try to exercise more. (well, I’m trying anyway – not much for New Year’s Resolutions)

18 Trish January 12, 2009 at 2:39 pm

my resolutionis not gain more than 20lbs with baby number three. I don’t know if the LD will help or hinder that resolution, but they sure sound good. If everything goes wrong I can “force” my husband and kids to eat them!

19 mary b January 12, 2009 at 3:21 pm

I gave myself 2 resolutions this year, one is to get more organized and the other one is to drop a few pounds …and this giveaway is perfect, since I told my DH I wasn’t dieting, I was going to practice portion control LOL!!

20 Zandor January 12, 2009 at 3:39 pm

My resolution is to learn how to knit.

21 Michelle January 12, 2009 at 4:04 pm

My resolution is to get pregnant! I have a 12 & 13yr old, but am now trying to have another baby. I swear it was soooo much easier when I wasn’t trying!

22 Tracy January 12, 2009 at 4:26 pm

My new year’s resolution is to have a better relationship with God. I know, it sounds so cliche’…but that’s it!
I love the oreo 100 calorie snacks from little debbie!

23 Jo January 12, 2009 at 5:11 pm

My resolution is to spend more time “just being” with my kids, and less time worrying about tasks and to-do lists. And to maybe win some Little Debbies….that I would of course totally incorporate into my resolution by say, sitting on the floor eating them while my daughter hosts a pretend tea party. :)

24 Jaime January 12, 2009 at 6:11 pm

I didn’t make a resolution. Makes it lots easier to not break it!!

25 Kristina January 12, 2009 at 6:29 pm

I made the resolution to exercise. Have I exercised? NO! Not once in the first 12 days of the new year. Sigh.

26 Robin in New Jersey January 12, 2009 at 6:53 pm

Mine is to eat more fruit. My kids love Little Debbie’s

27 Janine January 12, 2009 at 9:10 pm

My goal is to save $1,000 in 2009 by using coupons and rebates.

28 Deedra January 13, 2009 at 1:08 am

My New Years Resolution is to get free of my mountain of debt. I’m tired of being slave to the lender.

29 Nikki January 13, 2009 at 6:09 am

We’re following through on our rule to have the children taste one bite of everything on their plates – and we’re offering more new things for them to try. So far, we have discovered a love of veggie pancakes, but not of corn pudding. And, had 2 days of no TV b/c he didn’t even taste the corn pudding.

My resolution is to lose at least 10 pounds, but hopefully 20 by counting WW points. I might start exercising when it gets warmer…

I bought some of these for my daughter the other day…and this is so crazy, but I’ve been afraid to try them. I’m going in now to eat one now that I have a good recommendation! My New Years Resolution (at least the biggest one) is to read through my Bible! I have started many times and never made it! I’m going to do it this year! It’s already been a huge blessing!

34 Melissa January 13, 2009 at 9:43 am

Sorry, I don’t do New Year’s Resolutions!!

37 Kim January 13, 2009 at 1:02 pm

My new year resolution is to slow down and enjoy life, family, friends. Life is short and should be enjoyed. I hope to spend this year and years to come finding joy in the little things in my life.

38 Renee January 13, 2009 at 1:15 pm

My resolutions for 2009:
1. Lose the baby weight(since the baby is now 2)
2. Plan more fun activities with the kids.
3. Pay off our credit

39 Kari January 13, 2009 at 1:46 pm

I’m skipping the whole “resolution” thing this year. I seem to have the same ones year after year, and I usually fail, so why bother, LOL! Thanks for offering the giveaway.

40 Jennifer S. January 13, 2009 at 2:13 pm

My resolution is to be more active. I need to lose a little bit of weight and I plan to do this by being more active and eating healthier food.

41 Rhonda January 13, 2009 at 2:29 pm

My goal is to start exercising and watch my portions… I like to eat, so I think portion size is the key for me.

42 Betsy January 13, 2009 at 3:02 pm

Clean eating…that is my resolve. To eat more natural foods!

43 ann_was_here January 13, 2009 at 4:57 pm

my new years resolution is to spend more time being creative!

44 Paige January 13, 2009 at 7:37 pm

I want to lose 20 pounds this year. I have not been eating to lose weight, however. I’ve been eating to stay fat. Hmmm.

45 emily January 13, 2009 at 11:13 pm

i don’t make new year’s resolutions. BUT my most recent goal is to spend less on eating out. :)

46 looneyjen January 14, 2009 at 1:24 pm

I resolve to take more naps :)

47 Stephanie January 14, 2009 at 5:38 pm

I’ve been walking/running between 3 & 6 miles a day since September, but apparently my body LIKES its current size. The pounds are sticking to me. I am going to try to cut back further on what I put in my mouth. Or chop off some body parts.

48 Amy L January 15, 2009 at 11:25 am

My resolution is to exercise more and eat healthier..so far, um…let’s just say I’m not so good at keeping resolutions. :)

49 Jeni January 15, 2009 at 12:33 pm

Since I was just diagnosed with gestational diabetes (again), my resolution is to monitor my diet & keep my blood sugar level steady!

50 jennydecki January 15, 2009 at 12:34 pm

My New Year’s Resolution was to be more focused in my business, as well as on my family. I want to make sure when I’m with my family I’m not thinking about work and when I’m working I’m not thinking about my family.
To just be able to “BE” where I’m supposed to both mind and body.
It should reduce stress. Hopefully.
Plus giving small cakes to the toddlers means I don’t have to cut up the bigger cakes like I have been. I like convenience, and LOVE little debbie!
