Do You Have Any TypePad Questions?

I am speaking on a panel at BlogHer ’08 on Friday morning at 10:30. The panel I’m on is called FAQs for Beginning Bloggers. I’m pretty excited about it because the other women on the panel are some of the most knowledgeable you’ll find anywhere: Nelly Yusupova, Shazia Mistry, and Michelle Mitchell. So yeah. Awesome.

The main idea of our panel is to give our audience some hands-on time with someone who knows a specific platform (Shazia will be with the WordPress people, Michelle will be with the Blogger people, I’ll be with the TypePad people, and Nelly will float and help where she’s needed).

My question to you is, what TypePad questions do you have? I hate to say it, but I don’t even know what to brush up on because I don’t know what TypePad users may want to know. That’s where you come in. Would you please tell me a thing or four that you’d like to know how to do in TypePad?

Love ya.

Air kiss.

This may or not be related, but I’d like to have some comparison of each. I’m on blogger and I’m just not familiar with each to know if/what I’m missing. (I know about the comment/email issue, but I’m looking for info beyond that.)
Thanks! See you there!!
Eek! I’m so excited!

Look!
A LIST!
A’hem.
1) Is there any way to track stats, other than page views, on Typepad?
2) What is the advantage of Advanced Templates?
3) When using html code, and you’re almost totally useless with html, but you want to have more freedom with your blog design et al- what are some easy tips to working with advanced template?
4) What is the benefit of Typepad over WordPress? I moved from WP to TP because I thought it would be easier to work with … uh, no.
5) Is there a better tracking software to use with Typepad, other than SiteMeter?
Ok.
I’m done

Love ya, too.

Kelli…
I know you weren’t asking ME this, but as far as tracking stats, get SiteMeter (sitemeter.com) STAT! It rocks! It gives you in depth information including individual page hits and time spent on each page. I’m totally in love with it and would have it’s babies if I could.
Oh wait, you asked for a better tracking thing than Site Meter. There is also Feedjit. It’s more than just the little widgets. You can get in depth info from them as well. One tip, look around at other blogs and see what they are using to track stats.
And yeah, TypePad…sucks eggs. And here I am, ready to move to WP, but am not sure. I moved to TP from Blogger. I’m really having trouble with TP at the moment because I am one of their beta users. All that means is the new compose screen eats about 4 out of every 10 new posts I write. Frustrating doesn’t even begin to cover my feelings on it right now.
ANyhow, sorry I stuck my nose in.
Melanie, just wanted to pop by and tell you to have an awesome time in San Fran!
