I love to read. I love to watch movies. If both of those happen to be Jane Austen stories, all the better. Today and tomorrow I am going to share with you my love of Jane Austen.
Today’s giveaway is the book Emma and the movie Emma (the one with Gweneth Paltrow–it’s the only one Borders had in stock. It’s good.). So you can read the book, then watch the movie. Or vice versa.
Wanna win it? Leave me a comment on this post. That’s
it! Of course, I’d love it if you wrote something besides "Pick me!" or
"I want this!" because I’d rather read about how you love Jane Austen and could spend all day watching her movies back-to-back or reading her books. But any comment counts.
The only thing I ask is that you don’t enter more than once because duplicate entries will mean that you don’t get any
entries. Just so you know and all. And no anonymous comments because,
hello? How can I contact you if you’re anonymous? Just sayin’.
- This giveaway is open to US residents only because I’m nothing if not a total procrastinator and cheap to boot.
- You don’t have to be a blogger to play along.
- I’ll pick a winner on Friday and contact you that same day via e-mail. You have four days to respond. If I don’t hear from you by then, I’ll have to choose a new winner. Make sure you’re checking your spam folder.
Please note: This DVD is a plain ol’ DVD. Not Hi-Def. Not Blu-Ray. Just a plain ol’ DVD. The book is just a plain ol’ paperback book. Perfect to take in the car or to the pool this summer. The nice things about books are that they’re so portable.

This is one of my favorite books – have you seen the other dvd version of this one. It isn’t quite the same “theatre” quality, but ever so good!!

Well, I’ll admit it. I have NEVER read Jane Austen. But I’d love to start. Thanks for the chance!
Oh, yes! I have been properly training my girls to love Jane Austen as much as their mother and I’d love to have this set to share with them

Yes, I love to read Jane Austen, and the movies aren’t half bad, either.
This one includes one of my favorite romantic scenes—in which Emma is concerned when poor Harriet is snubbed at the ball. Then a gentleman rescues Harriet, and lo! it’s Mr. Knightley! , gets me every time. Thanks for the giveaway!
Wonderful story, haven’t seen the movie. May make the 16yo son read it too.
I have not read Emma yet. I love Jane Austens work and have gotten my 13 dd hooked. She’s read Pride and Prejudice and Sense and Sensibility so far. Would love to have to share Emma with her. Thank you for the great giveaway.
