Slumber parties aren’t for SLEEPING! What made you think that they were?
Three WENT to a slumber party Friday night. Six 5th grade boys. Yikes. Then he was at a sleepover last night, another one tonight. It’s starting to be all about the friends.

This is why we madethe girl wait until 11 yo. We just stuffed them in the basement, shut the door and said that they could stay up as long as they wanted, but they couldn’t be cranky the next morning. Worked out well that their folks came and picked them up at 10 AM. We were only left with one not-supposed-to-be-cranky girl. She wanted a nap, but I wouldn’t let her have it. She went to bed MIGHTY EARLY that night.
Glad to hear that you survived… now you need a nap!

You are a brave women…and I bow to you! Boo went to her first slumber part in January, and the mother was a SAINT!! She had 6 girls, and they too were up until almost 2 giggling with each other. And, not a one of them was tired at 8 am when they got up.
I figure at least one more year, then maybe…we have had sleep overs, but mostly cousins not other kids.
