Do you just love it or what?!? I made this for my Aunt M. She’s invited us to stay at her lake house for a week. She’s so much fun and we are having a blast visiting her and my uncle! And my grandparents. And my eleventy-two cousins (which, by the way, do not all belong to Aunt M.).
(NOTE: You can click on all photos for larger views.)
The inside is funky, just like Aunt M.
I also made this tote for my step-mom.
The inside is swirly and a nice compliment to the flowers with swirly middles.

These bags are so nice. I would love to have the pattern. Can you tell me where I could get a pattern. I always have trouble lining the bags I make. How neat they look!
Thanks,
Rita
I have been looking at tote bags and beach bags all day. These are BY FAR the prettiest that I have seen!
Enjoy your trip!
Hey Chili,
Great bags! How about a bloggy crafty lessony type thing? I would love to try to make one. Have a great day!
Debbie
Awesome job! Those are beautiful!
Aunt M? IS that anything like Auntie Em?
Oh, but anyway, Toto, we’re home. Home! And this is my room, and you’re all here. And I’m not gonna leave here ever, ever again, because I love you all, and – oh, Auntie Em – there’s no place like home!
Cute bags! I want!
………..and I LOVE the new bag Chilihead made me! I have it on display right now. It’s hard to throw wet sandy towels into something so cute.
Now…..back to entertaining that little Chilihead clone who just came upstairs for breakfast.
Auntie Em
I love the bags, especially the second one. Are you sure you don’t want to start selling them?
My favorite is the first one. Love the palm tree, adore the funkiness.
And I agree with the previous commenter — are you sure you don’t want to sell them?
Auntie Em….he he he. Yes, they are very much the same!
Those are so cute, Chili!! If I tried to make something like that, it wouldn’t be in any condition that someone would want to take out in public. lol
By the way, this is Jill from Coo-Coo. I have a new home at: http://charmingdelightful.blogspot.com/
Having a good time catching up!
I want one, LOL. Those bags are just DARLIN’! Great job!
LOVE them, Chili! Absolutely love them. You’re so crafty…
Wow! I LOVE these! They are so fun.
If you ever decide to sell them….
Especially the one with the palm tree–so cute! Have you thought of putting pockets inside, to keep stuff a bit organized?
Like everyone else said, those bags are AMAZING, and I would love to know how to make them too!
Please do teach us all how to make them! I’ve been dying to learn the art of making bags. I have some really cute fabric just screaming at me to turn it into a handbag or tote. So I just let it (the fabric) hang out on the kitchen table and island. It’s kinda driving Scott nuts.
wow, those tote bags are AMAZING! i second the vote for some instructions! also, do you sell on etsy? you should.
WOW!!! I am so over the moon jealous of those beautiful bags. You should be selling those for sure. They are so fun!
Laura
Wow, you’re crafty! Those are sooo nice! Any chance I’m your long, lost Aunt Sheri?!?!
Great bags! Love the fabrics and colors!
You really are amazing and prolific. I don’t know how you get all of this done. Great color choices!
SO cute! You are completely amazing. But, I already knew that
Oh…can you make me one of these?
