More Tots

Remember how Wild Thing was all, "I want tots!"? Well, in the category of Things I’m Almost Ashamed to Admit: We have all 16 tots being offered at Sonic. It’s true. Except we can’t find Hot Tot. (He’s flaming. Heh.) We have him, we just can’t find him.

In order, from left to right:

Bottom Row: Astro-Tot, Earth Tot, Spot Tot, Cherry Limeade Tot
2nd Row: Puzzle tot, Strawberry tot, Cream Slush tot, Hollywood tot
3rd Row: Jack Tot, Oklahoma Tot, Patriot Tot, Original Tot
Top Row: Alien Tot, Bot Tot, Lemon-Lime Tot
Not Pictured: Spicy Tot, aka Hot Tot

Now you may think Oklahoma Tot and Bot Tot are the same. They are not. If you look closely you will see that Bot Tot has rivets and silver feet. Oklahoma Tot, on the other hand, is smooth silver, has red feet, and is clearly a nod to Oklahoma’s Centennial birthday. You know because we have huge silver mines here. And we’re all silver. And silver is cool.

Also, if you didn’t know better you would say we have a ridiculous number of tots and how many freakin’ Wacky Packs did you have to buy and eat, anyway? Let’s just say that we were on our way to collecting two sets of these magnificent tots until I said with my thundering voice: There shall be only one collection of Sonic Tots! We shall pool our resources wisely and share to make our collection strong!

And so it was. And so it is.

how cool is that? LOVE IT!
…sigh…I miss Sonic.
And I LOVE the Oklahoma Tot! Raised there, and kinda miss it, too, from time to time…not as much as Sonic, though! ;)
(Didja know that the very first Sonic is in Stillwater? And that the Home Offices of Sonic are in OKC and are Christian-owned???)

Look no more. He’s is living at my house since I married him in 1994.
Oh! I thought you said Hot SCOTT.

Ahh…the days of the Wacky Pack. My family ate at Sonic a lot when I was growing up, too. There are still probably collections of Sonic toys at my parents house.

Sadly, we don’t have any Sonics in our area. We do, however, get taunted by there scrumptious looking commercials!

Shhhhhhh….I actually DID eat Sonic for dinner last night. And I had tots.
And it’s all your fault.

I had my fair share of tots when I was in High School. Our campus in LA (Lower Arkansas, that is) had an open campus lunch policy. We got to go to all the fine and upstanding fast food establishments for lunch everyday, thus growing my soon to end love affair with Sonic.
See, we are moving to MI. Our closest Sonic is 103 miles away….in another state. Popcorn Chicken and Double Cherry Coke must be “when we go home” foods now.

We have so many of those stinkin’ things that we don’t even bother to open them, which may be an indictment of many things about me. There is a ministry at church that collects un-opened fast food toys for the wacky pack deprived children of the world and so we just throw them in a box for that.

We’ve cut the “dining out” from our budget. Now, not only am I missing burgers and fries, I’m also missing Tot toys!
I feel the need to rethink my 10 year plan!

Does anyone remember when Sonic used to put those little hard plastic animals on the drinks? The tiny giraffes and the monkeys with the long tails? Teeny, tiny hard plastic choke-o-matic figurines? I miss those.
Impressive Tot Collection, Chili.

I’d prefer to avoid something else to ‘collect.’ There again if they’re cheaper than pokemon……are they smaller or bigger than pokemon? Small things are always getting lost!
Cheers

Yeah, my kids wanted more too, but I told them no. I’m sure if I showed this post to them, they would want to live with you…

Went to Sonic over the weekend, and Adam made me save our Tot so that we could give it to Max…but I see now that it’s one he already has! This totally makes me laugh.

I’ve only eaten at Sonic once (in Florida when we were with my MIL)
But they are building a Sonic 5 minutes from me as I type this! :) Should be open in fall, so they say! YIPPIE!
Found your blog through a weird series of clicks. :)

hhmm….I wonder if there is a Texas Tot? I will check that out! Damn, I spend so much money there that there should be a MINDY Tot!

Has anyone said the obvious, “Give me some of your tots!”?

19 Jean May 31, 2007 at 10:39 am

I was a little disappointed in the Okie Tot. I thought it should have looked well, more Okie.

20 Linda June 2, 2007 at 8:45 am

21 Wallie August 10, 2008 at 10:01 am

you are missing peppermint tot. and was oklahoma tot released everywhere or just in oklahoma?

22 Emily October 10, 2008 at 10:52 am

Hi, I am looking for the Oklahoma tot for my little girl she is in love with them. we have both set that sonic has come out with. But we live in Texas so the 17th was not offered here. Do you know where I can find one or would you be willing to sell yours. I am willing to pay a reasonable price for it.
